I always feel blessed to come from such a vibrant and interesting culture. I am proud to have parents from India. I am proud that I am a full blooded Punjabi (state in Northern India) . I take as much pride in being Punjabi as a I do in being a Texan. Thats what I equate it. Texans are very proud and distinct people. So are Punjabis.

Anytime I feel like the world is coming down around me, I head to the menu of any of my music libraries (iPod or PC) and go straight for the hindi/punjabi music. Instrumental, vocal, folk, modern, classical, or fusion, it doesnt matter what it is. I love my heritage and the music of my heritage. This music always just lets me escape the world for 4 minutes, collect my thought, and refocus myself.
